Autism Moms: Victims of Fraud—and the Trail of Destruction We Call Psychology

This is a blog post I’ve been needing to write for a long time. It’s going to be long, and it’s going to be brutal. If you are an “Autism Mom,” especially one who identifies publicly by that title, what I am about to say will feel like a personal attack. I need you to lean into that discomfort. I need you to read this because you have been sold a lie, and the cost of that lie is measured in human lives.

I am writing this not just as someone who holds a strict, operational line on behavioral science, but as an autistic adult who was harmed by this system. I’ve lived the consequences. I am one of the adults who was forced to make the devastating decision to go non-contact and cut close family—unrecognized narcissists—completely out of my life. The anger that decision provoked was intense, but it’s interesting: nobody asked me why I cut them off. They were too busy polishing the martyr’s crown.

We need to wake up, read a book, and understand how the autism community is being consumed by two massive tragedies: the destruction of families and an astronomical suicide rate. These are not unrelated events; they are the predictable, functional outcome of the fraud we call “autism psychology.”

Tragedy 1: The Transactional Trauma Bond

The system, from the very moment of diagnosis, turns the relationship between a parent and their child toxic and transactional. This is the mechanism that drives adult autistic children to cut their parents off.

Here is the lie that was sold to you: You were told that autism is a “pathology”—a disability. Your child is broken, and they need to be fixed. Billions of dollars are made by industries selling you “treatments” that aim to fix these symptoms.

This is the exact point where a transactional trauma bond is formed.

When you look at actual behavioral science, not the fuzzy interpretations sold in clinics, the mechanism of control is based on a primary operational fact: Positive reinforcement, in its natural, operational function, is escape or avoidance of a harm (an aversive). It is a relief/escape loop.

Think of it like this: If you are terrified of spiders (negative reinforcement/harm) and you escape that spider, the relief you feel is your positive reinforcement.

For the autistic child, the environment of demands, sensory overload, and constant correction (which clinics market as “rewards”) is often packed with aversives (harms). The child complies to escape that harm.

Parents as the Aversive Harm

The tragedy is that you, the parent, are trained to be the operator of that harm. Most of you, someone has to say it, are harm to your children. When you step into the role of the “fixer,” correcting, managing, and micromanaging every behavior, you functional as an environmental anxiety trigger.

But it’s a lethal codependency, because you are trapped in the same operational loop.

When your child is distressed—stimming, freaking out, having a meltdown—that child becomes your negative reinforcement. Your child is the harm in your life that you need to escape. Your functional behavioral response is to fight or flee. The “fix” (the compliance of the child, the quiet) is your escape, and therefore your positive reinforcement.

This is narcissism, plain and simple. Your identity online and in your community becomes wrapped up in your role as the constant manager of a “broken” child. You become addicted to that control and the associated martyr status. You don’t build a relationship with your child; your whole life requires their continuous failure and dependence.

When that child becomes an adult and finally walks away, you are not crying because you lost a child. You are crying because you lost your addiction, your title, and your control.

Tragedy 2: The Parallel of Behavioral Euthanasia (IGP in Disguise)

We see the exact same devastating outcome in another parallel industry: dog training.

Dog owners have become similarly narcissistic, focused only on control and management. We don’t train them to be dogs; we train them with aversive tools—recall, shock collars, prongs—forcing them into compliance to escape pain. An adult human can cut off a toxic environment; a child or a dog has no such autonomy. They are trapped.

The trail of destruction is identical. Millions of dogs are dead—behaviorally euthanized by a system that cannot define the word behavior and understands only coercive control. And millions of autistic adults are self-eliminating (suicide), behaviorally euthanizing themselves as a result of the same system of lies.

The “psychology” that these autism “experts” use is no psychology at all. It is IGP dog training in disguise, prioritizing forced compliance over physiological safety.

The Ultimate, Horrific Escape

The suicide attempt rate in the autism community sits at an astronomical 25%. This is the inevitable logical conclusion of a system built purely on control.

When you understand actual behavioral psychology, suicide isn’t a choice. It’s the symptom—the outcome of a problem.

For the autistic child raised where every authentic internal state is pathologized and corrected, self-elimination is the final and definitive behavioral act to escape the pervasive harm of an environment that has denied them all autonomy and identity.

But here is the final operational truth that this whole fraud relies on: Suicide, for the child, still functions as a positive reinforcement for the system and the parent.

  • The Child’s Distress/Non-compliance = The Aversive (Harm).
  • The Child’s Permanent Removal (via Suicide) = The Functional Escape.

The final quiet—the total “compliance” of death—provides the same functional payoff (escape and relief from the conflict) that “behavioral modification” once did. This is the horrifying cycle that is getting these kids killed.

Wake Up and Read a Book

The system isn’t running on science; it’s running on a consensus model of operational control. The experts cannot define the basic terms they use (“punishment,” “reinforcement,” “behavior”), yet they build coercive structures that systematically strip a population of their autonomy, leaving them terminal with anxiety.

It is time to wake up, Autism Moms. You are not the heroes of this story. You are operators of the harm that is devastating your children. The “trail of destruction” stops only when we stop valuing forced compliance over physiological safety.

It’s time to read a book and learn the actual science.
